Non-linear propagation of finite-amplitude ion-cyclotron waves, ion-acoustic waves and
solitary waves in a collisionless magnetized plasma, consisting of warm ions and
isothermal electrons, is theoretically studied. New analytical solutions have been
obtained for the excitation of these waves in the plasma. The nature of solutions for
these waves are represented graphically. It is seen that the normalized electric field can
have arbitrary small as well as large values for the existence of ion-cyclotron waves
which contradicts the results of other authors.
