SIMILARITY REDUCTIONS OF A LINEARLY COUPLED
KORTEWEG-de VRIES SYSTEM

Using the direct method of Clarkson and Kruskal we obtain the similarity reductions of
a system of two linearly coupled Korteweg-de Vries equations, which was recently studied
by Grimshaw and Malomed in relation to the existence of a new type of gap solitons.
Particular solutions of this system, both rational and logarithmic, are also determined.
