MASS AND FLAVOUR SPINORS FROM THE DIRAC EQUATION WITH TWO MASS
PARAMETERS

The choices of the standard equations for massive, massless and tachyonic fermions are
examined, on the grounds of desirable features related to the symmetry operations. Linear
superpositions of different mass states are revisited, and some possible probability
interpretations are suggested.
